The R Black Global team is comprised of skilled and experienced problem solvers who have extensive experience with new construction, legally distressed assets, forced recapitalization, and sites with environmental concerns in the U.S. as well as developing countries.
Ryan Black began his career with Kriti Management, the U.S. office of the Vardinoyannis family, one of Europe’s wealthiest families. As Vice President of Kriti Management, he oversaw multiple real estate projects on behalf of the family, completed all due diligence needs for assets in the Americas, and sourced deals. In 2009, Mr. Black left Kriti to join the development team for Jumeirah’s new Polo Resort in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Jumeirah Culu Culu. Mr. Black served as Chief Operating Officer of the project. After leaving Jumeirah in the spring of 2010, Mr. Black founded R. Black Global, a vehicle to pursue international development opportunities and provide consulting services for ultra high net worth investors. Mr. Black is vested with a rich mix of business development, operations and project finance for billion dollar organizations. He is diversely experienced from start up to work out, turnaround and rapid growth. Mr. Black has brought to XIN Development his proven ability to identify and solve longstanding problems and create solutions that improve operational efficiency.
Ben Apple began his career in equity research in the US before heading overseas to China. During this time, Mr. Apple studied Mandarin and then went on to receive an advanced degree in Economics.
Mr. Apple later took on the role of Managing Director of a business incubator in Shanghai that helped international enterprises expand their business in China. In this role, Mr. Apple worked with local and foreign companies to raise capital, form JV partnerships, develop market entry strategies, hire staff, and adapt to the local regulatory environment. Mr. Apple has diverse, international experience in Business Development and Management. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the College of Charleston and a Masters degree in Economics from Xiamen University in China.
